 Angels do like ritual, but it is not necessary. You can call an angel to your side by being honest with yourself. If you are asking (praying) from your heart they will hear and answer. It is your intention that is important. So if you are not comfortable working with ritual you don’t need to, they will still be there, protecting you and bringing you what you need for your highest good. If you do enjoy ritual then it adds power to your intention.
Some people say that if you use an ancient ritual it will be more powerful because it contains the power of the intentions of all the people who have used it in the past. This may be true but you can never be sure how it was used in the past. Many people have misused their powers in past lives and it often puts them off using ritual again in this life. Also, the ritual is someone else’s. It may have felt good to them but it may not feel right for you. If you are uncomfortable don’t do it. I always feel it is better to create your own rituals. It is important you are comfortable with what you are doing and therefore creating your own ritual will contain more of your intent and will help you in bringing to you what you need for your highest good. Remember it is detachment from the result that brings you what you most need in your life. When calling an angel I usually say their name or quality three or four times. It can be done in your mind or out loud. I have also felt the energy when I have done nothing. I do whatever I am guided to do on any particular day. It is up to you. It works on the power of your intention, not what you do or how you do it.
