This month’s theme is all about ‘Healing’; healing ourselves and healing our planet by utilizing the cosmic energies available to us.
Message from the Angels Well there appears to be no message! I was told it was going to be Raphael - Archangel of the element of Air, intellect, balance and healing. Three times I have sat to channel. The first two for some reason did not record and the last one felt more like ‘me’ so presumably what I had already written (below) is the message. Not only have we now entered the second half of the year with the equinox of June 21st, but on June 26th we experienced a full moon eclipse which also formed a grand cross making it that much more powerful. I won’t go into the meaning of everything because if you wish you can find that out by going to the astrology sites linked below because I am not an astrologer.
A solar eclipse is a New Moon with tremendous impact. The Sun that gives us life and lights our path is joined briefly with the dark and mysterious qualities of the Moon. The Moon blocks the light of the Sun. In this moment of perceived darkness, spirituality and the psyche combine anew, beginning another cycle in the spiral of our personal development. The last time there was a solar eclipse at this same degree of Cancer was in 1991; the next one will be in 2029. Think back to the personal themes in your life during the summer of 1991 and review the progress of your personal growth over the last 19 years. Just as the summer equinox celebrates the sun’s highest point and from now on it moves further away from those of us in the northern hemisphere. This whole year is a year of letting go of everything we don’t need in our lives. Everything that is outdated or not in line with our soul’s purpose which is being our true selves and living our soul energy.
Above all, this is a time for releasing our deepest ego based fears to allow our true selves to live in the light. We are stripping away the illusions of who we thought we were, or even who we thought we wanted to become and going to those deeper levels of “who am I really”. This is the work of the solar eclipse. It will be bringing into focus all the dualities in our lives for us to resolve. Everything that is fixed which is holding us back from being our true selves will be up for review and letting go. The battle between the light and the shadow within us will be up for review and realignment. Mother Teresa's quote sums up where I am with this, "I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." What does this mean for us all.
Identifying negative patterns from the past is not easy especially as most of you have been doing this work for a while and really wonder what the next level can be. We seem to be facing our deepest fears. But do we actually know what they are? If so are they in conflict? Have you noticed how many things seem to be diametrically opposite? It is all about balance. We need to have strong boundaries so we can have time to ourselves for our own growth as well as being of service to others. We need to protect our security as well as giving to those less fortunate than ourselves. We need to pay attention to detail as well as seeing the big picture. We want to be in relationship but we need time alone. Our families come first but working and paying the bills seems to take priority.
I believe that everything happens for a reason and everything is perfect just now and just as it should be for the highest good of all. So why do we worry and stress about where we are going? Why do we ask ourselves, “Who am I?” and “who do I want to be?”, “what do I want in life?” Why it is so difficult to accept that everything is just perfect just as it is? I truly believe this in my head but feeling it in the heart is not so easy when so many things in life seem to be stuck or unconsciously weeping. Our planet for instance, hemorrhaging oil uncontrollably. Polluting the water of life. But as a society we will do things differently as we learn and grow from this experience. Our outer lives reflect our inner life both individually and collectively.
All the great spiritual teachers across the ages have taught
“know thyself”. It was inscribed in the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi. But how do we know ourselves? We can be introspective, we can go through a myriad of exercises from so many self-help books and CDs but we are then always looking outside ourselves. Perhaps it is the paradox. To know yourself you just have to be yourself in the moment. As you live your life being yourself in the moment then you get to know yourself. Afterall when you meet someone for the first time you would never say you knew them. That you knew all about them, their strengths, weaknesses, desires and fears, and the more you get to know someone the more complex they seem to be. We all have values but how many of us live them. Nelson Mandela had beliefs and values. He made a stand for them. That is who he is. But would you or I have spent 27 years in solitary confinement for a belief…
I often say to people, stop looking at what is not in your life and where you are trying to get to because this creates feelings and awareness of ‘lack’. Look back over your shoulder and see where you have come from, it is always so much more rewarding. That does not mean we stop doing what we do. Or we stop having ambitions and goals. Just that we stop trying and worrying about them all. Just that we stop fearing getting it right or wrong or nothing working out as we think it SHOULD. Certainly there are huge endings and beginnings taking place in the lives of myself and my children right now, which really are bringing to the surface all the old issues that need to be released. Letting go of the certainty of the known and embracing the uncomfortable, uncertainty of the unknown. I have been trying to create a new beginning for a while and I am now re-appreciating it will happen when the time is right and all I have to do is learn patience and to balance head and heart rather than always following one or the other.
Whatever this time of endings and new beginnings brings for us all and our world, my experience says it is always rewarding and always brings more happiness and joy however uncomfortable the waves might be to ride through. The storm always passes. So let’s just ‘let go’ and enjoy the ride, let go of the fear and the control in trying to create specific outcomes and enjoy the day because we can’t turn back the tides of heaven and I for one would not even want to try. I surrender to the flow - come join me.
Prayer for the Gulf (ourselves and our planet)
Dr. Masaru Emoto is the scientist from Japan who has done all the research and publications about the characteristics of water. Among other things, his research revealed that water physically responds to emotions.
Many people are angry with what has happened in the Gulf. Whilst justified, we may be of greater assistance to our planet and its life forms if we sincerely, powerfully and humbly send peace, love and gratitude to the water. I am passing on Dr. Emoto’s request to people to set an intention of love and healing that is so large, so overwhelming that we can perform a miracle in the Gulf of Mexico. We are not powerless. We are powerful. Our united energy can literally shift the balance of destruction that is happening. We don't have to know how...we just have to recognize that the power of love is greater than any other power active in the Universe today. Some of you may be very skeptical but realistically it can’t hurt and we hardly ever never do know the good that comes from our prayers.
Use your own words because it has to come from the heart. But here is a suggestion.
I send the energy of peace love and gratitude to the waters of the world especially in the Gulf of Mexico. To the oceas, rivers, lakes and steams. All life is dependent upon you. To the waters and the living creatures of the seas, to human kind and all living creatures on behalf of mankind, may we learn and grow through this event.

Thursday 1st July is the Zorastrian Rain Festival of Tir Jashan, dedicated to the star deities of Tir and Teshar. Give bracelets made of the seven colours of the rainbow. At the end of the festival go to a high place and throw them into the wind.
Sunday 11th July is the Pagan Dark Moon at 14.21. The New Moon Abundance ritual should be carried out within 24 hours after the New Moon.
Thursday 22nd July was celebrated in the First Book of Common Prayer, 1549, as Saint Mary Magdalene’s Day in the Christian calendar. When the Second Book of Common Prayer was published 3 years later in 1552, this feast day, amongst others was omitted. Early celebrations of Mary Magdalene's Feast Day included marriage symbolism such as creating your own healing oil blends "for the marital bed, probably including oils such as rose, sandalwood, and ylang ylang. Apparently the original feast day venerated her as a representative of the perfect wife (church liturgy recommended readings such as Proverbs 31:10-31), so it is a day to celebrate the Sacred Feminine, maybe plant something, sew something, cook something and, of course, love something.
Friday July 23rd – Sunday August 22nd may be able to see some Perseid meteors. Although the peak is usually The Perseids is one of the best meteor showers to observe, producing up to 60 meteors per hour at their peak. The shower's peak usually occurs on August 13 & 14, but you may be able to see some meteors any time from July 23 - August 22. The radiant point for this shower will be in the constellation Perseus. Look to the northeast after midnight.
Sunday 25th July being the day of the Full Moon in July (though it actually occurs in the early hours of the 26th) – it is also Guru Purnima (the Full Moon of the Gurus) in Hindu tradition. The day of full moon, Purnima, in the month of Ashadh of the Hindu calendar is traditionally celebrated as Guru Purnima by Hindus. On this day, devotees offer puja (worship) to their Guru. The Sanskrit root "Gu" means darkness or ignorance. "Ru" denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore one who removes the darkness of ignorance is a Guru. It is a day for celebration and worship, a day on which the disciples remember and express their gratitude to the lineage of Gurus. Hindus believe that a Guru is necessary to make one understand the formless Divinity.

Monday 26th July is the Egyptian eve of the Epagomenal days of celebration for the birthdays of their ancient major Deities. The exact correlation of the Egyptian New year to the modern calendar is disputed, but I favour the linking with the heliacal rising of Sirius (dawn visibility of Sirius) as this star, known to the Egyptians as Sopdet (pronounced Soppday) was closely associated with Aset. The celebrations began on the Eve of the Epagomenal Days - viewed this year as Monday 26th July. The following days marked the birthdays of the five children of the Egyptian Deity Nut. Being dates of powerful Egyptian Energies these may prove ideal days for an Egyptian Energy Reyad Sekh Em 1-2-1 healing session. According to myth, Tehuti (Thoth) enabled Nut to give birth to her five children [Aset (Isis), Asar (Osiris), Set, Heru (Horus the elder) and Nebt-het (Nephthys)] by using his cunning to win a game of draughts with the moon. By winning a seventy second part of the moon's light, he managed to create five extra days (the Epagomenal days), which allowed Nut to give birth to her five children without breaking Ra's decree that her children could not be born on any existing calendar day. This myth more than any other is responsible for Tehuti (Thoth)'s role as a lunar deity.
