INTRODUCTION There is much activity in June. The heavens are in full swing (more on that later) and there are also the matters of the summer equinox and the longest day. So although there are some serious topics in this newsletter, let’s remember that ‘angels fly because they take themselves lightly’ and we need to make time for fun - ‘making hay while the sun shines’. Watch out below for the special offers as well because they are just for you.
MESSAGE + MEDITATION FROM MELCHISADEC We are at a time of great awakening. I am Melchisadec, father of the angels, and I am here to encourage you to let go of your fears and embrace your spiritual selves. Click here for full message. JOYLINA’S THOUGHTS
It never ceases to amaze me how the universe works, the simplicity and the wonder of it all. Take advantage of the energies of the planets Jupiter (planet of Soul triumphing over matter) catching up with Uranus (planet of spiritual awakening) at this time to further manifest your spiritual self into your physical world (see Uriel’s January 2010 Message) and then adding the influence of Jupiter opposing Saturn 23rd May how both individually and collectively we get the opportunities if we take the time to notice and act on them (see extract below from Astrology.com).
On May 23, Jupiter in Pisces will be exactly opposite Saturn in Virgo at 180 degrees to one another. This is called an opposition in astrology and means they are quite literally pulling against each other, wanting to go in quite contradictory directions. Jupiter and Saturn are polar opposites of each other and when they oppose each other, they test the balance between our desire to grow and expand, while at the same time they expose the limitations of what we can do. Jupiter is the planet of possibilities – happy, optimistic, enthusiastic, confident, though not always realistic, whereas Saturn is cautious to the point of pessimism, grounded, practical and dismissive of Jupiter’s grandiose ideas. Yet, both need each other. Dreams and visions inspired by Jupiter sometimes turn into disappointments when they are not anchored and Saturn helps us deal with these. On the other hand, Saturn’s discipline and hard taskmaster ways need some of Jupiter’s joy and expansiveness to make them palatable. You can almost say that Saturn may be the dough for good bread and Jupiter is the yeast that makes the bread rise. You cannot have one without the other. What a Jupiter - Saturn opposition demands is the capacity to see that our hopes can be carried forward if we are willing to accept a few compromises and imperfections. Life is never perfect - there is always the shadow between our ideas and how they pan out - and it is our ability to deal with troubles that shapes us. A Jupiter / Saturn opposition can make us swing between extremes from high to low, complete confidence to utter despondency in a short time. If we want to use the positive energy of this opposition for real achievements, we will need perseverance, a strong sense of purpose, unflinching focus, concentration, and determination and tenacity to work on our own to further our real interests. We need to take steps to grow, but be careful about overextending ourselves since we are bound to face limitations. I certainly have been swinging from extreme confidence in what I do and how I want this to progress in the future and complete despondency as to how it is all going to be paid for.
The current global economic climate is making sure we all start to face our most basic fears. The whole world is being asked to face its most basic fear, the fear of keeping families and ourselves warm and fed (see diagram of Maslow’s Hierarchy Of Needs, below).
I have often said, and do believe, that it is the journey that is important in becoming the best we can be. This means ‘walking our talk’. By making the choices to change our thoughts and feelings in the present, to see the best in people, to focus and develop our creativity, to strive to be authentic, to live with integrity (i.e. true to our word and beliefs), to focus on loving ourselves, raising our self-esteem and creating beautiful loving relationships. This is our purpose as divine beings in a physical body. This is a physical world and you can only fly as high as the depth of your roots. The higher up the pyramid we go the more grounded we actually need to be. “Angels fly because they take themselves lightly” but we have to live in this material world. We are divine spiritual beings who have chosen to life in this physical, material world, at this time and it is the growth we individually achieve, and the example we give in how we live our lives, which affects the collective consciousness.
Certainly with big plans for the future and income drying up, it is a testing time. A time when the influence of Jupiter and Saturn are definitely being felt in my life and I suspect it is in yours also. All plans I have made over the past months to ensure my sense of financial security have been to no avail. Nothing has come to pass. I have discovered in the past that by accepting life as it is then it changes radically, but when I set out to change it, I just get blocked at every turn, as I find myself a lot of the time now. I do not intend to cut back on my work or my plans for investing in the future but I can be flexible about how and when everything comes about. That I can leave to the angels.
I am however, aware that there are many people out there who need help, or want to learn and grow, who want change, to develop themselves and acknowledge that it is easier to get help than try to do it all alone but don’t think they can afford it. I also do not want to de-value what I do, so hence the special offers below… SPECIAL OFFERS
I want to reward my current clients, the readers of my newsletter, for their loyalty and support. So each month there will be different discounts and offers that are only available to newsletter readers. This will give my loyal followers opportunities to take advantage of discounts not available to others. This means that the prices on the newsletters will be different than those on the website. The site is under re-development and I am planning a membership section, which will make claiming discounts easier. Until then to take advantage of these offers contact me directly at

I am starting a new angel telephone call line soon so if you read angel cards and would like to earn yourself some extra money then give me a call on 07702 956 928 and I will tell you more about it. Many people need help at the moment but don’t necessarily feel they can afford readings with me, or even the £1.50 per minute of other reading services. In an effort to make it more available to everyone who needs help, this new service will be 75p per minute. This necessarily means you won’t earn as much as you might on other lines but you will be busier and helping more people.

READERS WRITE
Change and Reality - Last month we talked about how you can change your life. Here is a story sent in by one of you which I wanted to share…
Dear Joylina
You asked for stories about how people changed their realities: this is mine and its one I love to share because it taught me that when I decided to change – all the help in the universe was there for me! It was suppose to be the holiday of a lifetime. I had been to Australia – and had the best time ever. Everything flowed – I had fantastic experiences, saw many wonderful things and, most especially, made many new and wonderful friends. When I got back to the UK I couldn’t stop raving about my holiday and my best friend decided she too would like to go to Australia. So that’s what we did. Friends offered us beds and we worked out a budget and flew half way round the world with expectations of joy and laughter and fun. What we got was the opposite. I have no idea why – now that I’m looking back – but it was awful. Perhaps it was being in each other’s company for 24 hours a day; the pressure of being in a strange place far from home, something/anything. Whatever it was it was awful, we bickered, sniped and nit picked at each other (and I must stress we were both equally guilty of this) and the sniping turned into arguments because… well just because. (Of course in retrospect I realise that we allowed ourselves to fall into a pattern of negative thinking, but at that time we were both clueless about such things). This continued throughout the holiday until one day the animosity reached a crescendo of meanness and I walked out of the house and left her. I sat on a bench in my favorite place in the world and for the first time really contemplated what was going on, and my part in it. Till then I had, of course, been blaming her… And then I realised that whatever was happening was equally BECAUSE of me; I couldn’t change her but I could change ME – or rather my reactions. Rather than meeting petty and complaining with petty and complaining I could stop criticising and be loving, kind and more understanding. (I should point out of this time that I was absolutely devastated and exhausted by all the arguments and problems and all I wanted to do was lie down and cry). As I was contemplating what had been happening, and really thinking through what had been happening, and my part in it, I noticed a shop. I had walked past this shop many times and ignored it (it was a fairy shop – selling fairies and angel ornaments and other such ‘tat and rubbish’ as I then thought). But for some reason this shop drew me in. I briefly thought about what my friends would have said if I told them I’d been in the fairy shop and then thought no. This is for me. So I went in the shop. And my life changed. The lady behind the counter took one look at me and said you need Reiki. I had no idea what Reiki was – I had never heard of it. She briefly explained – and I remember only registering the fact that I could lie down for an hour! I chose Reiki and the transformation was complete. I got off the bed an hour later a completely different person. It truly was that dramatic. My whole consciousness changed. So much so that I went and told my friend about it and virtually dragged her off to get a treatment. And, now some eight years later I am happy to say that we are both now Reiki Masters and whilst to the outside our lives are unchanged, we are back home, working and dealing with the everyday problems of life, we both know that life is so much bigger and better than that. We know that we create our realities – albeit wonderful or sad and we are learning, and re-learning every day – that life will be tough sometimes, and people will be unreasonable, and that we can’t change them – but we can change us. And interestingly – the main lesson I learned was that once I opened up to the possibility of change and chose to give up my feelings of negativity – help was given me. ABUNDANCE CHEQUES
Saturday 12th at 12:15. The New Moon Abundance ritual should be carried out within 24 hours after the New Moon. For full details of abundance cheques click here
PLANETS FOR JUNE www.astrology.com As we swing into summer in the northern hemisphere and winter approaches in the countries south of the equator, the June astrological sky is a busy one. The chatty, restless, multi-tasking Gemini Sun is around for the first three weeks so there’s not a moment to spare or the slightest chance of boredom. The conversation will be lively, varied and not too intense. Some of us might get the odd sinking moment as watery Neptune undermines Mars’ forward gear in opposition on June 4, but that is only a blip of uncertainty. Expansive, confident Jupiter then dances into Aries on June 5-6 to join adventurous Uranus which moved in late May. They'll join hands in a conjunction on June 8 to produce a mood of high excitement and great relief. Jupiter and Uranus joining hands will bring sudden surprises of the positive variety which may get rid of tensions and put smiles on faces. Jupiter will continue in upbeat and wildly enthusiastic mood all month. It will be so much easier to be upfront about what you want since Aries is never backwards about coming forward to speak its mind. Admittedly Mars does move into hard-working Virgo on June 7 for a few weeks which will keep career matters firmly in the foreground. But with such high spirits around nothing will seem like a chore. And with affectionate Venus in party loving Leo after mid-month there will be rather glitzy social occasions to add yet more sparkle. The planets, however, move into a more complicated pattern around the middle of the month. A rather discouraging Saturn square Sun (90 degrees) on the 19th is followed by lack lustre Sun Neptune trine (120 degrees). But it is what comes next that will be interesting though challenging. Just as we celebrate the Summer Solstice, the Cancer Sun is in a rebellious square to Uranus from June 21, then a lucky and over-confident square to Jupiter and then in a powerful opposition (180 degrees) to Pluto. And all in the span of four days! This could be a time for lucky breaks, though it will also involve a fair amount of pressure. Events will happen suddenly which require determined handling. There will be good luck as well as some stress. As if that were not enough there is a Lunar Eclipse on June 26, which is a powerful Full Moon. Eclipses always bring a sense of heightened anticipation. This one will challenge you to re-balance your life. Be warned - there will be no time to think - the choices are either this or that. Some of us may have to find a way to balance contradictory demands. But if you get it right then it'll keep you on an even keel in the months ahead.

SIGNIFICANT DATES FROM ANCIENT FOLKLORE
Saturday 5th June is World Environment day, which has been celebrated annually since 1972. Over the years, the day has focused on such issues as acid rain, oceans, water, and green cities. Saturday 12th June is the Pagan Solstice Dark Moon at 12.15. The New Moon Abundance ritual should be carried out within 24 hours after the New Moon.
Monday 14th June is the Egyptian night, known as Leyleten-Nuktah, the Night of the Tear Drop. A miraculous tear-drop as Aset (Isis) began the mourning of her brother/husband Asar (Osirus), was believed to fall into the Nile causing it to rise and bring new life to the land. Wednesday 16th June is the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, to commemorate the Chinese patriot, Qu Yuan, who killed himself by jumping into the river Li in despair of his country falling into the enemy's hands because his master refused to take his advice. It is on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar, which falls this year on 16th June, but celebrations may take place on nearby weekends in the Western calendar. Monday 21st June is the Egyptian Festival of the Burning of the Lamps was held at Sais. This is the third great festival in Sais to Aset (Isis). In an under-chapel beneath the temple, lamps were carried in procession around the coffin of Asar (Osiris). It was by the power of light, symbolising the life-giving power of the Moon, that Aset rekindled life in her dead husband. Monday 21st June at 12.29 is the Pagan Solstice. In the Northern Hemisphere, this is viewed as the triumph of light, the ecstatic culmination of the sun, yet the start of growing darkness. Old traditions included: Making a bonfire on a hilltop, sing, drink, laugh and time of merry-making. Processions with torches and lanterns, rolling wheel down hill to mark the start of the sun’s descent, blessing cakes and wine, waiting for the dawn and greeting the sun when it rises, sleeping by a spring, rolling naked in the dew of the summer sunrise! Tuesday 22nd June – Friday 2nd July is the Bootids Meteor Shower peaking on Sunday 27th June (see entry under 27th June). Wednesday 23rd June is Midsummer's Eve and was considered magical in Cornwall and Ireland, when there was feasting, fires, songs, and dances. Bonfires were kindled on high hills to commemorate the high point of the year. Traditionally, the veil is thin between the dimensions housing the living and the dead at this time. Thursday 24th June is still called Midsummers Day even though the Solstice in this day and age has passed, traditionally Midsummer celebrations continue. This is also the Roman Festival of Fors Fortuna. Saturday 26th June is Pagan Solstice Full Moon at 12.30. Between this date and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body. Click here for Angela McGerr's Full Moon Meditation with Gabriel Sunday 27th June is the peak of Bootids Meteor Shower, best observed in Northern Hemisphere. Look to constellation Bootes where Arcturus is located. This is known for very slow meteors, and is an unpredictable source; the June Boötids produced an unexpected outburst in 1998. In 2010, close proximity to the Full Moon will hamper viewing and short, twilight nights are unhelpful for British watchers. However, even casual observers here spotted the activity in 1998. Thursday 1st July is the Zorastrian Rain Festival of Tir Jashan, dedicated to the star deities of Tir and Teshar. Give bracelets made of the seven colours of the rainbow. At the end of the festival go to a high place and throw them into the wind.
