In this issue learn how to create a positive reality for yourself, and live mindfully in the present JOPHIEL, angel of beauty and creativity, reminds you that you are a divine being in a human body and as such you are beautiful. He connects you to the inner beauty of your soul so you can express that soul and share it with others. Whether your creativity is through art, music or ideas, first, you imagine it and then, if it feels good, you take action and you have created.
Channeled Message and meditation from Jophiel on the subject of creativity, joy Link to audio message CREATING YOUR NEW REALITY You are a creative person. You can be creative in many ways, as Archangel Jophiel says in the quote shown above. After all, you create your own reality and your own life every minute of every day. You are unconsciously choosing every moment of your life, and as you do, you are creating your own reality. Thousands of opportunities surround you every single day. Spiritually you could choose to: share your soul energy; help yourself and others; bring more peace, love, joy and acceptance into the world. Every interaction with yourself and with others presents us with choice. Do you choose to speak and act from your soul energy or to react from your ego in repetitive, unconscious patterns? Someone may offend you, leaving you feeling angry and resentful, but you still have a choice over your feelings, words, actions and behaviour. Many of us are so easily upset by others and can react bitterly. But, almost always, you are attributing too much personal meaning to someone else’s words or actions, without discovering whether your assumptions and imaginings are even accurate.
With every thought and feeling, you create your present reality. Why is it that so many of us worry about the future or get stuck in the past? Why do we create meaning out of actions? What do we gain by making mountains out of molehills? In fact, you are using your imagination to create possible futures that are not serving your higher good. This creates the reality of worry and fear in our present moment, so you experience exactly what you don’t want. The Law of Attraction tells us that you attract that which you focus your attention upon. How many of us know this yet still focus on what can go wrong? Even by focusing on positive outcomes, you are still not living in the present moment, which is your only authentic experience. So often, you are not living in the present. You are in a reality of thoughts of your own making. Your thoughts actually create your reality and your feelings, so you need to learn to bring your awareness to the present and focus on a positive reality.
Try this awareness technique… 1 Spend a moment thinking of a personal problem 2 Notice how you’re feeling as you contemplate this issue: are your thoughts working for or against you? 3 Continue this for about three minutes 4 Then let go of the problem. Think about something else, perhaps someone you love, a friend, or just notice the birds singing 5 Bring your awareness to how you feel now. What is your reality in this moment? Which do you prefer? Which will you choose?
Take responsibility and choose happiness You are responsible for your own experience of life. The way you live, your thoughts, your feelings and everything you experience, you have attracted into your life. This means that only you have the power to change your experience. Taking responsibility for what you think is the first step. Taking a candle into a dark room makes the darkness disappear. So why don’t you take a metaphorical candle into your mind and heart? In every circumstance, no matter how dire, you can choose what to think and feel. Consequently, by seeing the positive over the negative, you can change your present and future reality. Focus on good things and don’t dwell on or over-analyze the bad. Choose love instead of hate. Choose joy instead of fear, and acceptance instead of worry.
“I found joy when disheartened” A situation happened to me recently that illustrates perfectly the idea of creating your own reality. After lots of hard work, expense and considerable expressed interest, a workshop I held was not as well attended as I had hoped. A few months ago, I would have been very upset, disappointed, frustrated and wondering whether I was good enough. I would have taken it personally. I would have over-analysed my imagined shortcomings: what did it all mean? Was it too expensive? Had I not described it properly in the literature? Were the angels trying to tell me something? I would have gone over and over and over it. I may have even decided that the angels obviously did not want me to pursue this type of work, and given up and cancelled all future events of this type. But, instead, I chose to bring love and acceptance to this moment of my life. Of course, I was disappointed, but I can’t bring this to you if I don’t practice what I preach! I have to walk my talk and live my soul life daily as well. So I chose to bring that candle into the dark place that was developing within me. I recognized the old pattern and chose to change it. I chose to focus on and feel uplifted by the positive feedback I received from those who did attend. I enjoyed the event. It went well, as they always do, no matter how many people attended I was doing what I love. I chose to notice the healing my clients and I received during the workshop. I found joy in the stories shared, the benefits gained by all, and the new friends I made that day. I felt happy at the lightness of expression that everyone had as they left. So I chose not to create a story in my imagination as to what it all may or may not have meant. After all, in the greater scheme, it probably meant nothing. The world would keep turning even if I were not on it. Perhaps everything just was. I made my choice not to fret over it or to attach ego importance to it. Instead I accepted the love and peace of my soul into the situation. Each person who attended had benefited and, due to my acceptance and positive framing of the situation, so had I. After all in reality at that moment whilst I was thinking I was in fact sitting in a beautiful garden with the sight and scent of apple trees in full blossom, with the night sky spread out above me. The moon was shining down on a fairly warm spring night. Why worry myself silly when I had all this to enjoy. So I kicked off my shoes, and connected my feet to our good Mother Earth, and turned my attention to my actual surroundings. I thanked God for all the positive things that I have in my life. I allowed myself to enjoy the present moment. I went to bed happy. I woke up happy. I am still happy! I chose not to let my ego and my imagination make a mountain out of a molehill and miss what was actually on offer at that moment in time. I took control of my own reality.
Final Thought We all know the saying, “what will be, will be”. You cannot control every event in your life, especially when it involves others. But you can create your own reality, your own experience in each and every moment. Be aware of the choices you make or don’t make. As you experience more joy and fulfillment in each and every moment, you raise your vibration and the vibration of the world around you. As you bring light into yourself then so you bring more light to the world. As you raise your own vibrations then so you raise the vibrations around you. COMPETITION Send in any of your own stories of how you have chosen to change your reality. The best one chosen by my team will receive a free reading.

ABUNDANCE CHEQUES May’s new moon is 02.04 Friday 14th May 2010 (Thursday night). Abundance cheques need to be written within 24 hours of this time either before or after. For full details of abundance cheques click here
PLANETS www.astrology.com The month of May will be fruitful and indulgent with the Taurus Sun in place until the 21. Money will play an important role since it buys pleasure - one of Taurus' main priorities in life. But Taurus is all about security, so it will not be all spend, spend, spend since it will force you to reorganize your finances and check to make sure that the practical matters of life are in order.
Mars will bring a minor flare up of events as it squares (forms a 90 degree angle) to the Sun on the 4. This will be a time to channel your energy in productive directions rather than squabble with loved ones or get frustrated at the problems life throws your way. Happily Venus is in light hearted Gemini till May 20 and will help the party mood. When Venus is in airy, restless Gemini, it never settles down anywhere for long. It will not bring passion but it can be great fun if you can use the energy to your advantage. Be prepared for good times when Venus meets Mars in an easy sextile (60 degree angle) just before Mother's Day on May 8.
Retrograde Mercury which may have been causing communication delays and glitches turns direct on May 11 and it will be time for forward progress. Use the new Moon on May 14 to make and keep new resolutions.
Be prepared for your emotional mood to fluctuate as conflicting influences are at play between May 17 and 20, as Venus squares amiable and sociable Jupiter, then it squares cool Saturn and sextiles dreamy Neptune.
Just when you thought you needed a clear head and calmer influences, the final days of May hold a few surprises. The Sun moves into chatty Gemini on the 21, then Jupiter forms a wobbly opposition to Saturn on May 23 bringing about high hopes and sharp reality checks. Make sure you do not give in to the green-eyed monster of jealously when Venus and Pluto form an aspect on May 24.
However, the major astrological news of the month, and maybe of the year happens on May 27, which incidentally is also a Full Moon day. Uranus changes sign for the first time in seven years and dips its toes into Aries for a short visit until mid-August. It will return here in 2011 for its seven year sojourn. Uranus is a trailblazer, who upsets the status quo and puts changes in place. Aries is a Fire and a Cardinal sign, bouncing with energy, inspiration and initiative. The combined energies of this pairing will bring fireworks but it will also blow away a few cobwebs and allow new growth. It will be anything but boring! Change is in the air. Again! Saturn and Uranus will be exactly opposite each other on April 26, forming what is known as an 'opposition' in astrology -- two planets positioned 180 degrees apart. This is the fourth of five such oppositions that started on November 4, 2008, and it will continue until July 26, 2010. These oppositions always come in a cycle, and happen approximately every 45 years. The last time these two planets formed oppositions was 1965 to 1967, and before that from 1918 to 1920. The Saturn-Uranus opposition, that has been sending us on a roller coaster ride, returns for an encore to evoke more major shifts, both in your personal life and globally. You may be in for another round of changes - this month and beyond - which will no doubt accelerate your personal growth. It isn't always fun, but it's sometimes necessary. Saturn is the planet of authority and experience, and represents the tough and conservative disciplinarian, while Uranus is wild and unconventional -- the maverick planet of change. Saturn rules the status quo, while Uranus rules reform. Saturn and Uranus are mortal enemies in mythology, and their combined energies in astrology signal tension and transformation. Issues that have been festering beneath the surface emerge, and the rules of the game shift. Uranus energy brings innovation through instability. Sudden and unexpected events shake our foundations and force us to look at things in a new way.
Mercury - the planet of communication -- turns retrograde in Taurus at 4:06 am UT - April 18 (12:06 am PST- April 18, 9:06 pm EST- April 17). On a basic trivial level, Mercury retrograde means communication delays and foul-ups. Prepare for crashed computers, missing files, emails going astray and friends and business associates not getting back promptly. There will be delays in getting contracts or agreements signed. It is a time that exercises one's patience, nothing catastrophic will happen -- things will all just take more time and will have obstacles. But there is a deeper meaning to Mercury retrograde which is about looking inwards and finding time in our busy schedule to ask ourselves fundamental questions. So instead of getting uptight about hold-ups, a Mercury retrograde period should be treated as a blessing in disguise. Just as in music, a pause is as important if not more dramatic than a note, here is our chance to go deeper, be reflective, think and not act, listen rather than speak. Mercury is the most restless of the planets, so it is easy to get our attention and focus scattered so widely, that we are bogged down in detail and trivia, and find ourselves going around in circles. Retrograde periods give as an opportunity to straighten out our thinking. Mercury retrograde is when you can straighten out your thinking. So while we might become very absent-minded during these weeks, this is also a time to enjoy our own company and let our imaginations wander at will. Who knows what inspiration we may come up with? Mercury comes out of retrograde on May 11th. CELESTIAL FORECAST By Joanna Bristow-Watkins www.harmony.co.ukSaturday 1st May is May Day and Beltane - a Celtic word meaning 'fires of Bel' (Bel was a Celtic deity). It is a fire festival that celebrates the coming of summer and the fertility of the coming year. Celtic festivals often tied in with the needs of the community. In springtime, at the beginning of the farming calendar, everybody would be hoping for a fruitful year for their fields and hence also their families. Beltane rituals would often include courting: for example, young men and women collecting blossoms in the woods and lighting fires in the evening. These rituals would often lead to matches and marriages, either immediately in the coming summer or autumn. Saturday 1st May was the annual Roman Festival of Bona Dea. In Roman mythology, Bona Dea (literally "the good goddess") was the goddess of fertility, healing, virginity, and women. She was the daughter of the god Faunus and was associated with supplying medicinal healing herbs in her temple garden. Bona Dea was also invoked for freedom from slavery; many of her worshippers were freed slaves and plebeians, and many were women seeking aid in sickness or for fertility. This Festival was celebrated by women only! Tuesday 4th May is the festival of the Veneration of the Thorn at which the Hawthorn is honoured. This is a festival of modern origin that may have been adapted from the Night of Lunantisidhe on Sunday 16th May, honouring the fairy spirits of hawthorns. Holy bushes and trees marking sacred places and wells are acknowledged and new scraps of cloth are tied to their branches. Sunday 9th May is the Roman Festival of Lemuria. This involves a ritual by the Master (or Mistress) of the House with nine black beans(!) to honour the Lemures – spirits of those who died unnatural or violent deaths. I wondered if it was connected also to the ancient land of Lemuria and a possible belief by the Romans that the land may have been destroyed violently (legend says that, like Atlantis, a disaster such as volcanic eruption or flood caused its destruction). Friday 14th May is Pagan Dark Moon at 02.04 (Thursday night). The New Moon Abundance ritual should be carried out within 24 hours after the New Moon.
Friday 14th May is also the Panegyric of Isis Egyptian Celebration, when Asar (Osiris) was found and Aset (Isis) duly celebrated. Offerings of bread, wine and milk are made and Auset is traditionally praised for her gifts. It is a time for celebrating quests in life. Saturday 15th May is the Roman Festival of Argei. At this ceremony, 27 Argei (human-shaped bundles of rushes) are carried counter-clockwise throughout the city in a procession. In a ritual probably done as a substitute for human sacrifice, the Vestal Virgins then throw the Argei into the Tiber from the Bridge of Sublicius. Monday 24th May is the Romani and Christian Festival of the Three Marys at Sainte-Maries-de-la-Mar, on the south coast of France. Here landed Mary Magdalene, Mary Jacob (the sister of Our Lady) and Mary Salome (mother of James and John). A local Chieftain, Sara the Kali, had a vision of their arrival and by spreading her cloak over the rough sea ensured their safe arrival. Friday 28th May is the Pagan Full Moon at 00.07 (Thursday night). Between this date and the next New Moon is considered as a good time energetically for detoxing the body. Click here for Angela McGerr's Full Moon Meditation with Gabriel Friday 28th May in Buddhist tradition it is also Wesak. The first Full Moon in May is celebrated in honour of the enlightenment of Buddha and his passing into Nirvana. This is the spiritual high point of the year, when all the illuminated beings invoke a great blessing for the earth. (correction from draft Celestial Forecast) Saturday 29th May is the English Folk Festival of Oak Apple Day; held in honour of oak trees after Charles II escaped from Cromwell’s army by hiding in an oak tree. Oak leaves are worn until midday.
