Sacred Geometry

“Know that since God created human beings and brought them out of nothingness into existence, they have not stopped being travelers”.  Sufi Sage, Ibn l’Arabi

I would like  to thank the angels for guiding me to attend Angela McGerr’s Blue Star Mystery School, a couple of years ago and for my introduction to Sacred Geometry.   Since then many things have happened and my knowledge has grown via researching this fascinating subject .   (see recommended reading) My interest in is HOW TO USE this at this current time in raising the vibrations of ourselves and our planet  so we can create the life we are born to live.

Introduction

These are just short notes and are intended just to open the subject and point you in the direction of further reading and exploration if you so wish. There is list of recommended reading at the back that you can explore if you wish and I have noted any websites where I have gathered information within the body of the text.    I do not intend to go into all the complexities of the science of this subject.   If you so chose you can explore for yourself.

For us we will be looking at the various shapes and working developing out light bodies to raise our consciousness and our vibrations  In the August 09 meditation we will create a merkaba light body around us and a flower of life within the heart chakra so we may become more aware of ourselves, our world and our place in it. So we can raise our energies allowing more connection to our higher selves and to help clearing, protecting and sealing our aura and linking with other dimensional realities.   We will be using the power of our intention, which is so important.

Next month in September I suspect we will be creating the 12 cones of creation in our heart chakra which links us to the cosmic web and we will travel to the Halls of Amenti to meet with our soul selves.

Everything in the universe including us is constructed in accordance with the laws of Sacred Geometry.  Sacred geometry revolves around the belief that through geometric form, one can gain an understanding of the nature of the world around us and the universe as a whole. This system of philosophy began in the time of the Ancient Egyptians and probably before and continued to find popularity through the middle ages. Its concepts are based in verifiable mathematics, yet they often extend into the realm of spirituality.
Simple shapes pervade all areas of our life.   They fold the reality and fabric of our being. Early man has always used shapes to depict his ideas  and various forms seem to be used in all areas of the world in all cultures since the beginning of time. http://www.ccds.charlotte.nc.us

Sacred geometry combines both science and the spirit.   It appeals to the left and right brain at the same time.   To our creativity and to our logic and in its own way helps to create balance within us.   Shapes of one form or other make up everything in the universe and man’s interpretation of them seems to be worldwide through every culture.  These shapes govern so many things, music, art, architecture, even business etc.

In fact when we look around our world everything is created by the patterns of sacred geometry in one form or another.

Zero Point
In physics, the zero-point energy is the lowest possible energy that a quantum mechanical physical system may have and is the energy of the ground state.. The concept was first proposed by Albert Einstein and Otto Stern in 1913. All quantum mechanical systems have a zero-point energy.        Zero Point
Zero-point energy is sometimes used as a synonym for the vacuum energy, an amount of energy associated with the vacuum of empty space. When the term is used in this way, sometimes it is referred to as the quantum vacuum zero point energy. In cosmology, the vacuum energy is one possible explanation for the cosmological constant.
I believe that the point of all creation is at the zero point within  black holes.

 Thoth

Egyptian Myth. .

Thoth the ibis headed God of Wisdom tells of the “Secrets of the Gods themselves and all that is hidden in the stars”.  He is also believed to be the author of the Egyptian book of the dead and the Architect of the Pyramids on the Giza Plateau and author of the Emerald Tablets.   When the Greeks came to Egypt he was believed to be equivalent of their own God Hermes and thus was known as Hermes Trismistiges.      The word Thoth means Thought & Time and it was Thoth who is known as the master Architect and teacher of the art of sacred geometry who created as a blueprint the patterns of sacred geometry of 12 around 1. More of that later.   Some say he was an Atlantean who came to Egypt at the fall of Atlantis.   Some say he was from an advanced civilization from another planet, some say it is all Myth.   However the truth is only our own reality and what we chose to believe.   A great website for this is www.crystallinks.com

Architecture
There are buildings all over the world that have been built on specific ratios that defy our so-called knowledge of the time.   The great Pyramids for instance and their precise angles and slopes.  Not only are the angles exact and the ratios exact, they have been built more accurately than we could manage today.   Some would also say that they align perfectly and map Orion’s belt and the Milky Way.    The same is true of other sacred sites around the world.   Stonehenge, Avebury, the ancient Mayan site of Izapa The Pathenon, Chartres Cathedral (which includes another form of sacred geometry in the labyrinth laid out on the floor, and many more.

PLATONIC SOLIDS

Plato first wrote and coined the phrase Platonic Solids – the shapes that go into the making of sacred geometry and it appears he received this information from Empedocles who was a student of Pythagoras who had traveled widely in Egypt.

In his book, Timaeus, written in approximately 350 BC, Plato first described these solids, linking them to different elements of reality. The tetrahedron, containing four sides, and actually found twice within Metatron’s cube (the star tetrahedron is a combination of two tetrahedrons), is used to represent fire. The cube, containing six sides, and also found twice within Metatron’s cube, represents the earth. The octahedron, containing eight sides, represents the air. The icosahedron, containing twenty sides, represents the water. Finally, the dodecahedron, containing twelve sides, is used to represent the cosmos (Weisstein 1).??     The concept of the entire universe being made up of four basic elements (earth, fire, water, and air) dates back over a hundred years earlier than Plato’s Timaeus, with the work of the Greek philosopher Empedocles, who lived from approximately 493 to 433 BC. He theorized that all matter is made merely of varying combinations and proportions of these elements. It is possible, however, that this concept also existed long before Empedocles ever wrote about it. He was a disciple of Pythagoras, who had also been greatly influenced by the ancient Egyptians, and Empedocles could have, in theory, gotten his information handed down from either of these sources.??     However, it was Plato, who was born six years after Empedocles’ death, who would apply a logical formula to assigning the elements to the Platonic Solids: Let us assign the cube to earth, for it is the most immobile of the four bodies and most retentive of shape - the least mobile of the remaining figures (icosahedron) to water, the most mobile (tetrahedron) to fire, the intermediate (octahedron) to air. However, this still leaves the dodecahedron, which, according to Plato, the god used for embroidering the constellations on the whole heaven" (Calter 2-6). In this way, the Platonic Solids can be used to represent the entire universe. Other shapes within sacred geometry continue to expand upon these principles and provide valuable insight into the nature of all things, from mankind to the cosmos.? http://www.ccds.charlotte.nc.us

CREATING THE FLOWER OF LIFE

1    the sphere   - the circle.  Void of creation         Circle

The basic form that represents all or nothing.  The all-encompassing void that has all things in it.  The void from which creation sprung.  The centre of the circle is the point of singularity, undivided single pointed ness from which duality appears.
The spiraling life force from which is grows and connects everything back to the middle

Both a cell and an egg and from here all life unfolds.  Usually seen as female.

2  Vestica Pisces   As the one (egg) separates and becomes two.  Creating duality including    Vestica Piscismasculine/feminine

Notice the oval shape in the middle created by the overlap.  Often represents the penis and is seen as the sign of Pisces and the fish and Christianity.

What is the Flower of Life symbol?

Good website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flower_of_Life

The Flower of Life symbol is considered to be sacred among many cultures around the world, both ancient and modern. Within this symbol can be found all the building blocks of the universe that we call the Platonic Solids. The symbol can be used as a metaphor to illustrate the connectedness of all life and spirit within the universe.

In the Flower of Life course, the Platonic Solids are studied as they relate to the human body and the nature of consciousness leading the student to not only an intellectual understanding of the universe, but an experiential awareness of "God" and a feeling of connection to All That Is.

The Platonic Solids are important because they are found in the rudimentary construction of organic life, as well as music, language, and consciousness itself. In the Flower of Life workshop we show how these building blocks of life called the Platonic Solids serve as templates through which the foundation of all life everywhere can be expressed. Once this is understood, the importance of the Flower of Life becomes apparent as a totally integrated expression of "God" or "All That Is."

The Flower of Life is a universal template with many lenses. When placed over the face of a common or ordinary circle or sphere, the Flower of Life maps a window into the unity of infinity and turns the ordinary into a revelation of the extraordinary.

Looking into the window of the Flower of Life challenges us to unify our mind, heart, and spirit. When we can truly see all life woven so intimately, we strengthen the embrace of the divine in our lives and we can transform our world through the vision of universal unity.
The Flower of Life symbol can be found in various locations around the planet. No one knows for sure how old this symbol really is. We can get an approximate idea of a minimum age from the middle Osirian temple at Abydos, Egypt, where the symbol is found.

The middle temple at Abydos is much lower in elevation than the other two temples. The temple was buried at the time the pharaoh Seti I was constructing the other two temples at Abydos. It is notably different in its construction. Utilizing large granite blocks and amazing precision, this temple is unlike any other Egyptian temple architecture except for the temple by the Sphinx.

The FOL pattern was placed upon the granite siding of this temple. It was not carved into the granite. It seems to have been burned into the granite or somehow drawn on it with incredible precision.

The FOL symbol has also been found in Masada Israel, Mount Sinai, and many temples in Japan and China. Recently it has been found in India and we heard a report that it was found in Spain as well. http://www.floweroflife.org
